Scott Truman is a CRNA on the anesthesiology team at Samaritan. He enjoys helping patients have surgery safely. Most people are scared and nervous prior to surgery, and it is extremely rewarding for him to ease their fear and help them have a successful outcome.

Every patient of Scott’s is unique and different, and he sees it as his responsibility to tailor a plan to best meet the patient’s individual needs.

Scott worked as an ICU nurse and ER nurse for 5 years while pursuing a career in anesthesia.  He originally planned to pursue a Nurse Practitioner degree and work in Trauma. But when he started working as a nursing student intern in the ICU, many of the nursing staff spoke about anesthesia as a career.

When he isn’t treating patients in the hospital, Scott enjoys hiking, traveling, camping and delicious food at any time.
