James Griffitts is a CRNA who administers anesthesia for surgery or other medical procedures.

Griffitts’ main responsibility at Samaritan is ushering patients through surgery safely and minimizing their pain. He provides comfort to patients before procedures, and cares for them afterward until they’ve recovered from the effects of anesthesia.

Griffitts handles anesthesia for numerous surgeries, but a highlight of his job is helping mothers through the labor and delivery experience.

He received his Bachelor of Nursing from Brigham Young University in Rexburg, Idaho, and a Doctorate in Nursing from Westminster University in Salt Lake City, Utah. He performed his clinical training at several facilities, including Samaritan and the Cleveland Clinic.

A runner and a former Ironman competitor, he enjoys jogging through the region’s farmlands and taking in the beautiful sunrises. Griffitts is married and has three children. The family enjoys days off to explore the outdoor adventures Moses Lake has to offer.
