Dr. Murali Nalluri is a gastroenterologist at Samaritan, diagnosing and treating digestive system issues in the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas. He manages conditions including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), ulcers, and more.

Dr. Nalluri enjoys being a physician because of the opportunity to develop a strong patient-provider relationship. He finds particular fulfillment in bringing relief to patients suffering from digestive illnesses, which can be quite painful and disruptive to everyday life. Dr. Nalluri always seeks to lead with empathy and compassion, recognizing that every patient has different needs.

After earning his medical degree from Guntur Medical College in India, Dr. Nalluri completed an internal medicine residency at Presbyterian Medical Center, an affiliate of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

He practiced as an internist for four years in Richmond, Virginia, before completing a research fellowship in clinical pharmacology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He also held a gastroenterology fellowship at St. Louis University. Dr. Nalluri is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the ABIM’s Gastroenterology Board.

When he isn’t bringing relief to patients, Dr. Nalluri enjoys indoor swimming, hiking, and playing chess.
